At Quatre Camins, we embrace education from a holistic and personalised perspective, addressing the fundamental stages of child development, while keeping in mind that early childhood and primary education correspond to the preoperational and operational stages of development. Our centre, located in an iconic building in Castellón, stands out for its focus on respectful pedagogy, emotional support, and the creation of close bonds between students, families, and teachers. Here, every space is an invitation to learning and collective growth.

In our multi-level classrooms, students of different ages coexist, which helps foster cooperation and peer learning. We promote inclusion and diversity, adapting strategies and paces to meet different needs within the same space. We develop socio-emotional skills such as empathy, responsibility, and communication by interacting with various ages. We optimise resources and spaces to allow curricular differentiation and personalised learning according to each student’s progress.

We have 3 classrooms:

Early Childhood (students aged 3 to 5)

Primary 1 (1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades)

Primary 2 (4th, 5th, and 6th grades)

This stage covers ages 3 to 5. With a maximum of 25 children, it has three teachers, two classrooms, and a garden space.

We offer learning through symbolic and manipulative play to stimulate imagination, curiosity, and egocentric thinking in a fun and safe way.

We have attractive spaces and visual resources that facilitate classification and understanding through hands-on activities. We enhance language with expression workshops, stories, rhymes, and drama to expand vocabulary and the ability to express ideas and emotions.

We establish simple and fair rules: clear guidelines, taking turns, cooperation, and social skills through play and group projects. We encourage early autonomy with routines that strengthen organisation and care for resources.

We create a safe and stimulating environment with affectionate supervision that supports curiosity. We conduct formative assessments through observation to adapt activities to each child’s pace.

We promote family participation through regular communication channels and suggestions for reinforcing pre-operational learning at home.

The classroom has direct access to the garden, which is always open: stones, soil, trees, play mud kitchen, a fountain, and a homemade set of instruments are all essential parts of the children’s play and learning. In the preschool area, there is a space where students can move around freely throughout the day.

This stage covers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades of primary school, with 2 accompanying teachers and a maximum of 25 children. It has 2 classrooms.

We offer active learning in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades with projects and participatory practices in a safe environment.

Contextualized projects that connect theory and real life, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Reading, writing, and communication are developed to help studients to express ideas.

Hands-on and practical mathematics that supports conceptual understanding and reasoning problem solving.

Emotional and social development through rules, cooperation, and acquisition of new skills.

Attractive spaces and visual/technological support to classify, compare, and synthesise ideas.

Two classrooms with self-directed and stimulating materials for workshops, activities, and free circulation.

Continuous formative assessment with feedback to adapt activities to students’ needs.

Inclusion and personalised support for all, with reinforcement when needed.

Family participation through regular communication channels and suggestions to reinforce learning and habits at home.

At this stage, we continue to follow the principles of active and meaningful learning that characterise our school, while progressively focusing on the acquisition of the competencies needed for the transition to secondary school. Throughout the process, we respect each child’s rhythm and individual development, accompanying them to overcome their challenges and difficulties.

Personal Growth and Social interaction:

At this point, most students have already integrated conflict-resolution tools and emotional self-regulation is more fluid. Classroom norms are internalised, allowing students to be more available and receptive to learning.

As they progress through this they develop greater awareness and responsibility regarding their own learning process. Show a proactive attitude towards workshops and activities. Seek increasing autonomy, asking for support only when needed.

Learning Methodology:

Students engage in individual and group projects, which are later shared and presented to their classmates and to children from other levels.

They learn to analyse and propose solutions to situations or problems, rather than simply searching for the correct answer.
Teacher-led classes are introduced gradually as preparation for secondary school.

Scientific and Mathematical Area:

Hands-on activities and experiments with a scientific approach.
Research projects with a more structured format: investigation, documentation and guided use of books and computers.

Sociolinguistic Area:

Workshops focused on linguistic structures, text composition and spelling rules. All while maintaining creativity and individual interests.

Digital Competence:

Introduction and progressive use of technological tools.
Education on responsible and safe use of the Internet.

Artistic and Expressive Area:
In addition to our regular art, music, and physical education workshops, we also offer: drama, psychomotricity and free dance.
